If you are unable to pull it up over your hips, another option is to put it on over your head; this way, in some cases, you can go down a size if you prefer a slightly tighter fit.

NOTE. All measurements are taken flat, meaning the waist, hip, and hem measurements are half measurements and should be multiplied by 2 to get the full measurement.
